For au pairs
Start a new cultural adventure in the Netherlands as an Au Pair
As an Au Pair, you become part of a new family, immersing yourself in their culture while sharing your own. While being an au pair you also support your host parents with childcare and light household responsibilities, all within a year filled with adventure, learning, and travel.
It’s a meaningful way to care for children and create lasting memories. You’ll be a friend, companion, and role model to the children in your care, so a genuine love for kids is essential!
What does your host family expect from you?
The main motivation for becoming an au pair in the Netherlands is your genuine passion for children. You enjoy spending time with them and caring for them, additionally, you’re eager to learn more about Dutch culture and traditions, making the most of this exchange program.
As you will be part of their household, you will also be expected to help with household tasks. Au pair duties may include preparing dinner, tidying up living areas, changing children’s bedding and such.
There will be a weekly schedule set up by your host family so you get an idea on how your day to day will look like and know what to expect.
